Question #1:

Need some professional advice?

been going this this guy from Albany ga. I live in Flint Michigan. He wanted me to live with him. I decided to travel with him, to see how it is first. He's a truck driver. I got all of my belongings with me, and travel with him. He wanted me to go to truck driving school to michigan. So I did. I got 2 weeks of my clothing, and he bought me a bus ticket home. I left my 2 suitcases with him. Its been a month now. I decided to stay in michigan. I told him I wanted my belongings, He never send it to me. He lying about his phone being broke, and things. I have my personal information, with most of my clothes, W'-2 forms, and pictures. What do I do?

Question #2:

What I should do when My boyfriend won't bring me my suitcases with most of my clothes.?

ok. Its a long story. My ex boyfriend wanted me to move with him out of state. He's a truck driver. He were saying everything will be ok. But, it turned out to be he were sneaking me in his truck driving from state to state. Didn't really have his own house, then wanted me to come back home to take a CDL class. I had four suitcases. I was going to sign up for school when we get to albany ga. I caught the bus but only had to carry with two suitcases. He were talking about sending my other 2 belongings. The other 2 had most of my damn clothes. I come back home to michigan, and I didn't here from him for a week. Now he keep saying he will send me my stuff, but its been dan near 2 weeks. I'm fed up. I have some of my personal information. I'm done with him, I just want to know how can I press charges when i'm in michigan, and he's in albany GA!!!!!

Question #3:

Does my moving/living budget seem realistic. Moving from Sacramento CA to Detroit Mi?

Ok I am moving to Detroit Mi. I lived there for about 2 years but lost my job due to the economy going into the toilet. I had to move back to my hometown (doing the long distance thing with my boyfriend who lives in Detroit) for the last year. I found employment and they are allowing me to transfer back in March 2011. I have never had to live off my own budget before. I have always lived in a house with a family member, room mate, or boyfriend. They just gave a flat fee to pay a month for utilities, rent, food, ext. I want to live on my own before my boyfriend and I live together again. The most I ever had to worry about is the flat fee to live off of, car insurance, car gas, cell phone, clothes, ext. I am going to be working full time and going to college full time (most on the internet but 2 classes on campus). So I have to figure out a budget I can live off of (I make about 1500 a month). I am driving my truck (it gets just over 20 mg high way) so I figure it will cost about $1500 in gas and food with a little extra for emergency. My ma's birthday gift to me is paying for my motel rooms for the trip (so I can sleep in a bed instead of a truck), I was wondering if the budget I have made is realistic. I found a real estate company that sells houses for under $20,000 (only $550 a month which includes yearly fees and taxes) that are move in ready (minus appliances). They don't do credit checks all you need to qualify is to make $1,200 a month and $500 to move in. I figure that I just need about $8,500 (already have $5.000 saved) to have a few month's rent/utilities paid and buy some stuff to set up the house. I am getting most of my furniture for free (between what I am bringing, Craig's List, and some stuff friends are giving me). Now below I worked up a budget to live off of but I am unsure it is realistic. Please review it and tell me if this seems plausible to live off of for the next year (my boyfriend and I decided to wait a year to move back in together and get married). I make about $1500 a month after taxes and the place I am moving into is about 6 miles each way from my work (I work 5 days a week) and only 4 miles from my college (which are the two days I don't work and plan to carpool). I don't know how much gas, electricity, water, trash, ext are a month so I just guesstimated.

House Payment- $550 per month
Gas/Water/Electricity/Trash- $300 per month
Food (Just for myself)- $200 per month
Supplies (Like soap, toilet paper, tampons, cleaning stuff, ext)- $75
Car Gas- $150 per month (since I am car pooling to college and maybe to work a few days a week)
Car Insurance- $650 every 6 months (so I need to save about $110 a month)
If I did the math right is should work out to be $1485 a month. I know it is really a tight budget but as long as I am careful with my money I know I can work it out. I don't need to worry about cable, or a phone (I already prepaid my cell phone for the next 14 months) and I can just go to the school's library to get on the internet. Please if you have advise or think that my budget is unrealistic please leave a comment. If you are just going to be negative or saying things like don't move to Michigan please don't waste your and my time. Thank you in advance

Question #4:

Can a step mother have fathers visitation if he is unavailable?

In the state of Michigan can a step parent have the visitation when the father is gone on business? I know in some states this is not allowed but I have heard that in Michigan they have done this before. My husband drives truck nation wide and is gone for 7-10 days at a time a often leaves with only a days or hours notice. It is impossible to follow the standard visitation and she has suffered because of this. When he is home the mother often says she has plans and cannot visit so he ends up spending even less time with his daughter. He has suggested that we have the standard visitation so she can at least be apart of her half siblings lives and possibly instill some of our morals and values. The mother says we cannot have regular visitation so we are SOL! We can barley make ends meet and are paying a very large amount of child support (being self employed they really nail you) so he can't take time off work to spend with any of our children.
The reason I'm so passionate about her is because she is now 15 and is really going down a horrible path, drug, sex, sneaking out, skipping months of school and I feel she is screaming for someone to help her. Her mother acknowledges all of this behavior and says she is not 10 anymore and that she was allowed to smoke pot at her age! Now his daughters says she will not come over unless her father does not bring up any issues about her behavior. I don't want to discipline her so much as show her that we love her and are only worried about her well being. I feel our strong family values will show her that there is a different path she can take. I believe she really needs structure in her life and deep down really wants someone to step up and help her. None of this can happen unless visitation can be with me and my other children while her father is gone. When he is home he does everything to let her know she is loved but it doesn't seem to be enough anymore. And to any mothers who think the biological mother is best let me tell you she has abandon her for years at a time to live with a man out of state, been divorced 4 times, and moves 13 times in the past 10 years. Her daughter has lived with her grandmother for the past 3 years while the mother remarried and moved 80 miles away. We have thought of getting custody but we were advised it would be unlikely since my husband is gone 26 days out of a month. I just want to help her I feel like her life is slipping away :(

Question #7:

What in your opinion is the best truck-driving school(s) in Michigan? And which of these schools offer jobs?

I found many schools using Google but i just don't know the best choice(s). Also, it's very important for me to know which of these schools actually offer jobs after the certification process is done. Would you help me with that, please? Thanks a bunch.

Question #8:

Transmission problem on '99 Ford Ranger?

My ranger doesn't have an rpm gauge (tachometer?) so I can't provide any solid numbers to look at. But hopefully someone will still understand the issue and can help me out.

'99 Ford Ranger 2.5L 2WD Automatic trans. Let me know if you need any more details.

Starting a couple days ago, when the truck is moving from 2nd to 3rd it hangs, then takes maybe 2 seconds to make the switch. But when it hangs the RPMs ramp up really high and then settle again to normal in 3rd gear. It's long enough hang for me to start leaning forward from inertia and then 3rd kicks in and i'm pushed against the seat again. I have an untrained hand and eye when it comes to cars but I checked the trans fluid anyway and it came out normal after being operated at the normal running temps for a while.

The problem doesn't exist when the engine is cold (I live in michigan) but a few city blocks later the starts and the delay between leaving 2nd and entering 3rd gets longer and longer as I continue to drive. I don't want to permanently damage my truck but I need it for work and school. I've never had a situation like this before and don't really know what to do.

Any help is very much appreciated!

tl;dr: rpms ramp up when switching from 2nd to 3rd as engine gets warmer.

Question #13:

Need some Lead on local Jobs for new CDL-A Graduate?

I recently graduated from a trucking school that had placed me afterwards with a company for a year, only thing is the company was over the road driving, which I tried for a week, and between having a trainer that took advantage of me, and not letting me get enough sleep and then making me forge my log books, I just dont have the drive anymore for over the road driving. I am also dealing with the fact that I have a family at home, and with all this realized that it's not for me. I am wanting to drive still, but wanting to do local work, so far I can only find local driving jobs that are requesting 1-2 yrs. experience. I was wondering if anyone knew of any openings with any companies in the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan, or at least another company that I might have better luck with.

Truck Driving School Questions?

I am interested in truck driving and I will probably be taking a 4 week course at the community college close by my house.

Here are a few questions:

1.) I'm not mechanically inclined. I'm not very good when it comes down to fixing trucks if they break down. Would this be a problem? Or do they show you what to do "from the beginning"

2.) I've heard that the college can connect me with a company to work for after training is this true?

3.) I don't know to much about the different classes of CDL licenses. Would the school teach me? And I'm not sure what I want to drive or company I want to work for. Is this a problem?

4.) How much typically would this cost me?

5.) I'm not "sharp" when it comes to driving the stick shift will they teach me that or do they expect me to know that?
