Joe Said: Best trucking book out there. ( Sep. 1st 2010 )

Using the advice and tips in this book, I was able to breeze through trucking school, get my CDL, and find a job with a good company. There's no other trucking book that even comes close to this one in terms of practical advice for someone thinking about becoming a truck driver.

P. LAMASTER Said: BUY THIS BOOK! READ THIS BOOK! ( Jul. 1st 2010 )

Like many in this economy, I found myself considering all options for a new career. Trucking schools anxiously painted a beautiful picture and promised high wages - and have me on the road in under a month.

This book told *the other side of the story* that nobody else seemed willing to tell: The figures that they quote you for how much you will make - are based on you working a 10-hour day *every* day, 7 days a week. To make the kind of money that I heard quoted, you would have NO life other than driving, sleeping, and eating. You may still decide that it is the life for you, and I strongly believe that Yvonne was *balanced* in her report: she isn't a bitter failure with an axe to grind. But before you sign up for a trucking school, READ THIS BOOK. It's cheap. It's short. It's to the point. THEN you can make your decision - knowing what you're really likely to get into.

Harry Schumann Said: Very Good Book. Gets Right to the Point. ( Mar. 18th 2010 )

I am getting back into the Trucking field after a 13 year absence and needed a quick overview. This book helped greatly. Very well written and organized. The author has a great talent for writing and should use this book as a template for other subjects.

Jonny Said: Worth your time and money. ( Feb. 9th 2010 )

I picked this up for entertainment and enlightenment and was not disappointed. The book is reasonably priced for the amount of info it contains. It is a quick read, but packed with interesting tidbits. Even though I have been driving for quite a while, there were quite a few things that I didn't know or hadn't really thought about. This book would be especially helpful for anyone thinking about joining the trucking industry. The mind trips played on new students and drivers by trucking companies are explained. Also discussed are choices you may not know that you have. There are lots of practical tips about trucking that you won't or didn't learn in school. I liked the tips about how to deal with driver managers and weigh stations.
